How do I cancel an order?

If you need to cancel your order please send a message via our contact form, or reply to the order confirmation email you have received.  Cancellation and re-stocking fees apply.

For orders cancelled prior to dispatch:

A 15% cancellation and re-stocking fee applies to orders of standard stock items, including Cake Smash.

A cancellation fee of 50% applies to Custom Orders to cover the costs incurred in purchasing your fabric.  No refund is available once the fabric has been cut and making has commenced.

The fee will be deducted from your refund.

How do I return an item?


Bumblebee Boutique complies with Australian Consumer Law regarding returns and refunds. If goods are faulty*, not suited to the purpose for which they are made, or an incorrect fit, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with details of the problem and to obtain instructions for returning the item/s.  Returns must be notified and posted back to us within 7 days of receipt of the product for a prompt exchange or credit to be used in our store within 6 months. *Please note that minor imperfections in hand-made items are not considered faults. They are a natural part of the charm of hand crafted items.
No refund or exchange is available after your event date or if the items have been used other than for their intended purpose.

Shipping charges are only refundable if
 •  We made an error on your order
 •  There is damage to your order in shipping
Our generous return policy does not apply to items returned after your event date, items that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons (including hats, underwear, earrings and swimwear) or personalised items/customised orders. Returns policy does not apply to sale items. Items purchased at sale prices cannot be exchanged or refunded unless faulty. A restocking fee may be charged at our discretion. We will communicate any charges with you.
If you have purchased the wrong size or colour, or you are not entirely happy with your purchase, Bumblebee Boutique will offer an exchange or credit note to the value of the items purchased, under the following conditions:
 •All products must be returned within seven days of receipt.
 •The product(s) must be as new (unused and undamaged) and with their original packaging intact.
 •No returns or exchanges on personalised, custom ordered or sale items.
 •No returns or exchanges on bulk orders
  • You are responsible for the cost of shipping for change of mind returns and the replacement item.
To organise an exchange or credit note, please send a message using the form on our Contact Us page and include the following details: Name, Order number, Product and Reason for exchange. We will then contact you with instructions for returning your purchase.
Apart from returns for damaged products, all products must be returned to Bumblebee Boutique in their original, sale-able condition including any tags. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all returns are packaged so as to prevent damage in transit. Please enclose a copy of your receipt for a refund of postage for damaged items.
In the unlikely event that a product is damaged in transit to you:
  • Take a digital photograph (2MB or less) of the damaged packaging and goods as you received them.
  • Message us via our Contact Us form within seven days of receipt of the item/s, quoting your order number and the product item 
  • Our Customer Service Manager will then contact you to obtain a copy of the photographed item/s and arrange an appropriate solution for you.
When a product is returned to us, Bumblebee Boutique offers an exchange for goods to the same value or a store credit to the value of the items purchased. Delivery costs (including packaging and handling fees) are not refundable, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.  Our exchange policy does not apply if the product(s) have been used, worn, soiled or damaged. We reserve the right to refuse a return on any product that does not meet these requirements. It is suggested that you insure your return package and use a tracked delivery service as Bumblebee Boutique cannot be held responsible for any product lost or damaged in the post.
